This morning, Senior Sponsor Sandra Ovalles and our Herff Jones rep held a special assembly for seniors. They reminded students to sign up for the Class of 2026 REMIND group and asked students to complete a Herff Jones graduation information and contact card. Principal Casimir Bundrick challenged seniors to show #BruinPRIDE in everything they do. MTSS Coordinator Eric Byrd talked about the NEW Attendance Recovery Policies, and Testing Coordinator Valerie Tucker reminded seniors about upcoming SAT, ACT, and ASVAB testing opportunities.

LCSD celebrated COLLEGE DAY today. Lauren Knight's AVID class completed a college passport activity; scholars visited teachers and asked questions about the post-secondary institutions they attended. The teachers gave their best "elevator pitches" and promoted their collegiate alma maters.

The LHS library staff has opened a STAFF Brain Break Room. The purpose of this space is to boost creativity, reduce mental fatigue, increase productivity and motivation, and improve overall health and well-being. Staff members are encouraged to take brief breaks (10-15 minutes) so they can recharge and refocus, leave all work-related conversations (no “shop” talk), resources, and technology in their classrooms/offices, and build positive connections with colleagues over a puzzle or game.

Today, Founders Federal Credit Union Financial Adviser Stacey Adams shared information with students on creating SMART financial goals and establishing/maintaining good credit.
