Chromebook Insurance - Our newest Chromebook orders have multi-year accidental coverage for incidentals. For that reason, we NO LONGER ask families to purchase Chromebook insurance, as the repairs are covered under warranty at no cost to the student or district. Schools CHARGE for lost Chromebooks/chargers and malicious damage, as insurance does NOT cover these incidents.

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND PARENTS - LHS 2025-2026 Promise Neighborhood Extended Day - Cycle 1 Promise Neighborhood Extended Day is the new frontier for academic excellence. The journey for cycle 1 begins September 8, 2025. Please click the following link to sign up:
https://shorturl.at/PPOrx. Students will choose their academic enrichment sessions. They will be assigned to their 6-week fitness and exposure micro sessions. Cycle 1 enrollment will be open from August 1st - August 22nd. Bus riders MUST be signed up by August 22nd. Our bus list is due at the bus office two weeks before the beginning of each cycle. If your child is enrolled after August 22nd, they must be a car rider for the entire cycle.
Two healthy snacks are included.

On Tuesday, July 29, the Library Advisory Board (LAB) officers met with advisers Sherri Alston and Louie Prete to plan this semester's events. In attendance were LAB president Tabetha Ward; co-vice presidents Joslyn Truesdale and Sarah Prete; secretary Gavin Lane Poston; and literacy marketing specialist Miley Thomas. Tabetha Ward spearheaded discussions on library patron activities, book promotion events, service-learning projects, and team-building activities. Our LAB has adopted a "We are better TOGETHER" philosophy and plans to use this theme as a driving force in promoting student voice and participation this year. If you are an LHS student who is interested in joining our LAB, please stop by the library and speak with Mrs. Alston.
