Although the scoreboard did not turn out the way we wanted tonight, it's undeniable that we have the most dedicated student fanbase around! Shout out to Student Government (sponsored by Dana Dupre and Annie Birchfield) for a job well done on Neon Night!

LHS celebrated POSITIVE BEHAVIOR! Teachers recognized their scholars for their effort, kindness, teamwork, listening skills, and overall growth mindset! Students enjoyed ice cream, played games, created artwork, jammed to some awesome tunes, and conversed with their peers. Hey, BRUINS...Be BOLD...Be BRAVE...Be a BRUIN!

LCSD celebrated COLLEGE DAY today. Lauren Knight's AVID class completed a college passport activity; scholars visited teachers and asked questions about the post-secondary institutions they attended. The teachers gave their best "elevator pitches" and promoted their collegiate alma maters.

The LHS library staff has opened a STAFF Brain Break Room. The purpose of this space is to boost creativity, reduce mental fatigue, increase productivity and motivation, and improve overall health and well-being. Staff members are encouraged to take brief breaks (10-15 minutes) so they can recharge and refocus, leave all work-related conversations (no “shop” talk), resources, and technology in their classrooms/offices, and build positive connections with colleagues over a puzzle or game.

Our English III theme for the year is "The American Dream." Last week, our English III scholars created personal SMART goals, conducted SWOT analyses, and devised action plans to meet their SMART goals. Today, Founders Federal Credit Union Financial Adviser Stacey Adams shared information with students on creating SMART financial goals and establishing/maintaining good credit. THANK YOU, STACEY ADAMS, for sharing this info with our scholars. We appreciate you.
